And Now The Vegetation

Gen 1:11-13 NIV - Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.

What comes next? Vegetation of course. God saw all the land that he had made and found it to be empty and in need of something to fully compliment the bare nutrient rich dirt he had just formed. As an all powerful God, he decided to make living vegetation that would reproduce and spread over the earth. It would be something else to be walking along the earth at that point in time and then see all these green things sprouting and spreading. It surely would take your breath away. We really should look at God's creation with wonder no mater how normal it seems. If one really took the time to investigate the normal things we see everyday, we would find the beauty of God. Just to think that it is only a tiny fraction of what God actually looks like and if we were to gaze upon his full majesty we would surely die.
