NIV Genesis 1:20-23 - And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
It is now the fifth day of creation and God is now making all the living creatures in the sea and the birds of the air. What amazes me is how creative God was when he made all these creatures. For example, this little fish up above is called an albino bristlenose plecostomus. It specializes in eating algae and has a knack for eating algae off the sides of my fish tank. Even better, this little creature is not the only unique fish that lives in the water. There are even some creatures that can live in almost complete darkness. God most certainly knew what he was doing and I am thankful for all the unique fish that he made! It sure makes the aquarium hobby enjoyable.
