Conform No Longer

Rom 12:2 NIV - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

When we become Christians, it is not the end of our battle with sin. In fact, it is only the beginning. The biggest difference between before and after is that we now have God on our side who gives us the strength to conquer sin. We will not be perfect on this earth, but we should put forward an effort to conform no longer to the sin of this world. Just like the army man in the picture, we must wear a different color and march bravely out to battle. However, the sword we fight with is not crafted by human hands but rather by God. This sword is the Bible. Immerse yourself fully in God's Word and you will be more fully equipped to be different from the world.
