Gen 1:6-8 NIV - And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so
God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
Today I found it difficult to capture both expanse and water in the same picture. Not to mention the fact that it says that God "separated the water under the expanse from the water above it." Now how did he do that? Was there at one time water above the sky? Regardless, it was rainy today so I decided to take a picture of an interesting puddle with a reflection of the expanse above. Just imagine the power that it must have took to separate the expanse from the water. The only problem with this picture is that there is land in it. At this point in time, God had not yet created land. So in order to see what it must have been like, you will have to take the land out of the picture and just leave the light, the water, and the sky.
